The Inland Seas Trade Alliance
The Inland Seas Trade Alliance is a loose conglomeration of city-states based on and near the coast of the Inland Seas (Including the Highbound Sea, the Little Sea, the Shattered Sea, the Sea of Time, and the North Passage). While every city-state retains autonomy and sovereignty, they all send representatives to meet in the central city of Sambuca each year to discuss affairs of trade. While the alliance was originally formed solely to promote trade and commerce among the free city-states of the Inland Seas, many of its members have begun to rely on their loose allegiance to each other in order to protect their territorial and military interests from outside empires and pirates.
